  20. I knock floppies on the floor all the time. If they appear undamaged I'll
  21. reuse them. If they've got a sprung cover or something, I'll copy stuff
  22. off them and chunk them. They're cheap. I can afford to treat them as
  23. disposable.

  25. I also use tape cartridges. They're not cheap. I don't recall ever knocking
  26. one off a table, and they're smaller than Syquest cartridges. I don't leave
  27. them on the tabletop. I keep munchkins away from the closet I keep my
  28. computer junk in. They're expensive, I can't afford to treat them as trash.

  33. I can also throw an HP calculator across the room and not damage it, but when
  34. I bought a programmable calculator I bought a TI. I admire the HPs, but I don't
  35. like to use them. It's my choice.

  37. Like I said, if you're looking for big floppies, the Zip's great. If you're
  38. looking for something you can do anything you can with a hard disk, you need
  39. a Syquest. That's just the way it is. I'm sure the Zip's going to sell WAY
  40. more than the Syquest. That doesn't mean everyone buying a Syquest is a twit.
